Verb One is a hip hop, lo-fi, and roots reggae producer based out of Queens, NY. From graffiti, to DJing, to beat making, Verb has been a hip hop junkie since the 1980s. With a sound deeply rooted in the boombap, golden era of the 1990s, Verb’s beats are frequently characterized by hard, swinging drums, jazz and soul samples. Verb is a firm believer that music should always elicit emotion: anger, joy, sadness. To that end, Verb One’s beats often evoke emotion while remaining true to golden era of hip hop.
